1st Grade Highlight (Mrs. Williamson)

First graders in Mrs. Williamson's class are just finishing up a reading unit called, "Readers Have Big Jobs to Do". During this unit students are working to learn vowel teams, r-controlled vowels, and how to be flexible when using vowels to solve tricky words. They are also studying ways to make their reading sound great and to show feelings with their voices. They love reading with partners and in groups to practice these skills.
